AdWords landscape blending in with the crowd

Google has recently been making large steps to blend its PPC ads in with the rest of the search landscape.

The background colour has changed colour/shade several times over the past couple of months, with Google clearly intent on blurring the gap between paid and organic ads with the aim of increasing CTR and therefore ad-spend revenue.

Google has also recently made huge strides in the layout of the PPC ads to make them look almost exactly the same as the organic results.
