The Future's Bright, The Future is Pink!

This week sees the second season of the Creative League kick-off. If you're not up to speed on the Creative League, it's a league that has been set-up following the great success of the Creative Cup, which was held last October, organised by Ian James Cox to raise money for charity (the boy did good, raised £1.9K for Marie Curie). Following the success of the Creative Cup and the enjoyment had by all teams who enetered, the Creative League was formed and has even expanded, now about to start with 2 divisions this season.

If you want to catch up with what happened last season, check out this excellent season review, you'll be able to see how we stumbled over the finish line into third place following a dip in form towards the end of the season, and Dave (our goalkeeper) being our player of the season says all that needs to be said about our defending!

But that was last season....

This season we start with a renewed sense of optimism, a will to win, a new recruit in Luke Scowcroft (no pressure Luke) and no more will we look like we just turned up after raiding sports direct for all of the reduced football kits, shorts and socks! Gone is the multi-coloured array of football fashion from days gone by, covering kits that have included national teams, Premier league teams and whatever lowly division Macclesfield are in. This season we have a sparkly new kit!


Our new kit represents our corporate colours, is made from fabric straight out of the space technology program, will mean we play better, run faster, shoot sharper and mean there is no chance of any of us being run over on the way home.

We're all looking forward to kicking our season off against Tecmark tonight and hope the league is as much fun as it was last year.

Oh, and before anyone has a go about us being in pink, Elvis was cool, and Elvis had a pink cadillac, so there.
